The top down cooking game play of overcooked minus the gamey gimmicks of challenges and the restaurant management akin to Cook serve delicious. what my desire differed was more CSD aspects like menu planning, and restaurant customization.Still despite that still a wonderful game and cant wait to see more.. Fun fun game but wayyy too unmanageble for a single player. For someone who has nobody to play with :(, this game is rather hard for me.edit: on day 60+ and it is impossible for me to pass the third food critic on single player. I have tried just focusing on the food critic himself and ignoring all other customers but that has not worked. Hope the developers can touch on this issue.. This is a super fun game. Its well done no issues or bugs through all my time in game. Most fun with any amount of friends to play local coop(max 4 players). Assigning each couch coop-er to a job like serving foods or calling out orders while someone else preps is very satisfying. Highly recommend purchase if you have a least 1 friend IRL to play... or use a service like PARSEC to play online. Diner Bros feels intuitive from the get-go; possibly due to the fact that cooking games have been trending recently and if you've played "Overcooked" the two are incredibly similar.Diner Bros isn't a photocopy, though. It innovates in other ways. One of the things that made this game so much fun is that you have to simultaneously do out-of-kitchen duties such as taking orders, delivering food, cleaning tables, etc. Overcooked has a deeper cooking system with more creative mechanics, but a round consists of pretty much just cooking; the finished dish is brought to the "goal", and after a few seconds a dirty plate takes its place. In Diner Bros, you're not just running a kitchen, you're running a RESTAURANT. This means you have to remember which person ordered what, and where they sat, and to clean their table afterwards, whilst also cooking and serving drinks. Another interesting aspect is the progression system; in Overcooked the journey is linear, and stages/levels act in traditional Super Mario fashion (World 1 Stage 3, World 4 Stage 2, etc.). Whereas in Diner Bros, the speed at which you progress is up to you. You earn money depending on how well you did that day, and you can use that money to upgrade your restaurant all the way from inclusion of new dishes and drinks on the menu to number of tables available, etc. In this regard, it is similar to "Cook, Serve, Delicious"That being said, the perfect way to describe this game would be Overcooked, Diner Dash and Cook Serve Delicious had a threesome; the cooking aspect of Overcooked, the waiting tables aspect of Diner Dash, and the "run your own restaurant" aspect of Cook Serve Delicious. Also available is "Pizza Bros", which comes with the original game. My wife and I play it together and i can honestly say 10/10. it is far less stressful than overcooked, but still very fun. there is a lot of content in this game and i cant wait to play it more!. I really enjoyed this game! My sister and I are addicted! The only unpleasant thing about it was the controls. We are using controllers for this game and still a lot of bugs to resolve. But all in all the concept of the game is great and we enjoyed it just hoping the controls will be better eventually when there's an update for this game.. This game is terribly optimized. Expect low FPS for no reason.Gameplay is fun. They need to optimize.. I like the idea behind this game but there are a few issues that are really ruining the game for me. - Screen size/order details. Can't see any details of the orders or what I am doing after you upgrade your kitchen. I have tried adjusting the resolution but it is still very difficult to see.-Sensitivity for controlling the characters. Very high sensitivity. I did manage to adjust this through the controller settings on Steam but I wish this was better controlled in the game. -Ratio of orders and types of orders. When you have only one fryer there is no way you can serve up three fired chickens and french fries in a row. Joggers seem very difficult to manage. There will be an influx of people and you can't keep up with 2 players. Maybe this is different for 4 players but again with only 2 it is no longer fun. -Kitchen upgrades. You should have more freedom to choose where equipment is placed and how the kitchen is laid out.With all of these I can't recommend the game as-is. Keep an eye out for special customers too!My inspiration to create this game is the enjoyable times playing couch co-op with my friends and family. It felt like there was a long drought of local multiplayer experiences with the removal of split-screen mode from AAA games but in recent years there has been a resurgence of local co-op games. My goal with Diner Bros is to recreate that enjoyable social experience I've had sitting side-by-side with my friends.I’m always on the lookout for co-op games to play but many of them are too complex for my non-gamer friends. My main goal has been to balance the gameplay so that it can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. If you and your partner are competitive and want to maximize your profits, you can do exactly that. Plan out what food will be ordered and prepare the food in advance to earn the most tips. The game will ramp up the difficulty quickly if you choose to play this way. Alternatively, if your partner is more of a casual player, the game will not punish you for it. I’ve found during play testing that the casual player can stick to bussing tables which is a role that only requires good communication. We've been busy in the kitchen for a few weeks, and we're happy to bring some new and tasty content to your tables: today Diner Bros receives a new update! The first thing we want to announce is that now Diner Bros is fully localized to Korean! Korean gamers have supported us since its release, and we wanted to give back some of that love.
